Design of a custom kitchen for a private residence in Sag Harbor, New York. This kitchen was designed and fabricated for a house in the process of remodeling. The space allocation, water and gas outlets were already in place and non-negotiable so we worked within these constraints. The brief called for a modern practical kitchen, easy to clean and maintain and suitable for entertaining while adhering to a tight budget.
White Fin Plywood was used for the cabinetry, for its resilient melamine surface suitable for wet environments and a white quartz was selected for the counter top. For the bottom cabinets we integrated three wide drawers for each unit, two deep ones at the bottom and a shallow one for the top, for easy access and storage. LED lights were mounted on the to units for work surface illumination.
